Other than that, I need to start thinking about clearing out a lot of "stuff" I don't need or use and having my car back will help me take things to Salvation Army.
Thanks for you, Lucie, I've been thinking more and more about where I need to be in a few more years.
Amy, who lives in Illinois, just bought a new house with a basement. She sent pictures and there is a bedroom, full sized bathroom and huge living area. There is a fireplace. It has its own door to the outside and lovely windows, so you don't get a feeling of being closed in.
She wants me to live with her. It would be lovely. I could live down there and not have to interfere with her life upstairs. She said she'd make a little kitchette if I wanted to do any of my own cooking (mostly heating things in the microwave like I do now or toaster oven if I need to bake anything.)
Anyway - the only thing that would hold me back is being in Illinois. Every time I've visited her, I've frozen to death. They keep their A/C on to a very low temp and don't really heat the house up much in winter either. I'm afraid I'd always be cold. I know I would. And I hate being cold.
That's one option. I told her I'd install an Acorn chair lift so I could go upstairs for any reason.
We were doing a lot of dreaming. I know it won't happen, but I do feel good that it is one option I could consider.
I think I'd rather be in a place like you, Lucie. Others that I could socialize with, the dining atmosphere, which I like. I could have Spencer with me and have all my needs met so I wouldn't have to worry about anything but taking care of my personal things.
