Connie mountain lions are around 3' tall and 5' in length, so yup they are big. In Wis they are called cougars, probably because we have no mountains. We have a pair of them that live across the river from me, in Minn and in the winter they come across the ice and hunt around here. So far I haven't heard of any dogs going missing but I know that the coyote population around me has been reduced in the last few years.

According to Wis DNR, there are no cougars in Wis, even though there have been pictures & videos taken of them. I'm not sure why the DNR is in denial other than maybe they think people will panic if they stated that Wis does have them or maybe the head of the Wis DNR is a republican, we all know how they are big on denying any and evertything !
