Flo I'm the only one in the family who thinks lefse is just ok, nothing special, everybody else loves it. When it's cold I think it mainly tastes like potaoes with flour in it but when it's been buttered and warmed 30 seconds then it has a nice potao taste that tastes pretty good.

connie g, lefse is before it's been rolled out is like a very thick & stiff mash potao ball, it has to be stiff in order to roll it out to form a round circle for the grill.

Mom used to make potao pancakes and she also used to take left over mash potaoes, bread them and fry them in lard, they were extremely tasty and extremely filling.
