The other way I make them is to microwave them again in order to soften them to cut open and i forgot to say to that after having them, scoop out the seeds. I then quarter them, add pepper and a dab of butter to them and bake on an edge tray for probably 30 minutes, till tender. This is the less fattening option but I like them best with brown sugar and occasionally when I don't have brown sugar, I use maple syrup and when I use maple syrup I leave out the dab of butter.
