My mother made these all of the time because there were 6 of us hungry kids and one of those would fill us up. She made ones that were 3-4" big and she used to make them mainly when she made a roast or fried up chicken or when she had leftover mash potatoes.

I don't think I could eat one of her big ones now because they really were filling but small meatball size ones would probably be the perfect size for me.
