Hb's usual Dr. is very passive. A nice guy but not very aggressive. He is the type of Dr. you want when you are young and don't want to be bothered with tests or the other things Drs. make you do. You were in and out of his office in a few minutes. And that's OK when you are young and healthy. My NP is aggressive at going after things. She found an abnormal thing in my EKG and had me go for a nuclear stress test, she tinkered with my BP meds and found one that worked better for me and is just more on top of things, which we need as we get older.

Step -dtr goes along on Hb Dr. appts since she will be the caregiver if anything happens to me. She is somewhat more knowledgeable about medical things than I am and she is very impressed with this NP.
