Audi A6 2.0 CNH 2015 - Ad Blue fault #

Year of Manufacture: 2015
Engine Size and Code: 2.0 / Engine code CNH
( Optional ) Scanner Used: vag com / snap on verus
( Optional) Fault Codes: Ad Blue

The customer was driving along the motorway when the Adblue light came on in his car ,advising him he only has a specified mileage left before the car stops. The car is driving perfect apart from the light on the dash.
The fault on the dash says fault in adblue system and not a refill request.The customer says that every time he fills with ad blue he gets approx 15000 km before a refill request and on this occasion he has only traveled approx 6000 km.
I have plugged in vag com and there are no faults in the engine or the Reduction systems.The adblue pump is working and delivering 5000 mbar when the engine is running .I took out the injector and checked it encase the ad blue had crystallized on it.It had not .When it was out I was able to activate the injector using vag com and the injector sprayed perfectly.I also did the SCR quality test ,tank level test using vag com and it was ok.
I am just wondering has anyone seen the fault before or is it a software up date for the dealers.

Have you tried a generic scanner on EOBD?
It's frustrating how many manufacturers are using EOBD to store SCR system faults, their "online" equipment automatically searches for codes there, but after market readers often don't.

I'd hazard a guess at a software update would be required, they don't seem to be able to simulate real world conditions when writing software these days!

I tried the OBD section, but no fault registered there either .I rang the dealer yesterday to esquire about a software update but the service receptionist said there was no updates for my particular model .She said just book it in and see what their technician will say. I cant get a booking for another few days so I will try and keep at it.I will try and get on to one of the technicians directly and see what they say.

Did anyone discover a fix for this? We have one which needed a new Adblue injector and one glow plug. We reset the relevant parameters and it happily did a static regeneration but it wouldn't stop counting down. We took it to a local diagnostic specialist who basically did the same thing and the Audi ODIS system said that after a "long" drive the countdown would reset. My wife drove it about 50 miles with around 2/3rds dual carriageway but it kept counting down and is currently at 80 miles.

Any input welcome. The Bosch 'known fixes' section suggests a software upgrade but surely the ODIS would have picked that up. The dealer is asking £250 to plug it it in but we'd rather not lose that amount unless we really have to. This is the first Adblue fault we've encountered on anything and I guess they're going to start getting more frequent so any suggestions are welcome.
