Good afternoon
I have been accuired a headache from another garage which started out a straight forward job.
Vehicle brought to garage with non start, customer wanted pump coded to vehicle. Went to code pump but found keys had been wiped clean and none stored in memory. Recoded keys (cusomer supplied carpass)
Went to code in new pump and just wouldent work.Possble old pump ecu not been reset? Its a bosch pump with ecu on top. Engine spanner light on dash constant flashing. Vehicle is cranking over but will not start.
My thinking is there a way to code the pump if it has not been reset?
Another option i have is perform an immo off on the vehcile if possible? Done a Eeprom course nearly a year ago with Technical topics but like everything you have to do something everyday to get used to it and have not done an eeprom job since then.
Any advice would be much appreciated on which direction next.
If, it hasn't been divorced from old car properly, then you will need to reset the pump, you can't do this without the pin from the car it's from. Carprog can do these, on or off the car
Thanks Chris. I didnt think of Truecode Steve,i have it for renault a nissan.Think i will have to purchase the gm version. i am based in north wales Regards Lee
Hi Chris, any advice on where to purchase Carprog from? Having a lot of jobs with those types of problems these days.
Steve, contacted truecode, their software only reads pincodes from the vehicle and will not allow me to read code from pump due to having to read from dash to get pin code from.
