Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 2006 - Non start after replacement head - Diagnosed #
Posted by Craig Hewison on January 8, 2013, 7:02 pm Alright guys, got this in from another garage after they put a second hand head on it and it will not start. The story is they got it as a non-starter due to the timing tensioner having let go; they put a new tensioner on and it locked the cams up so on went the replacement head. It will start on a sniff and tick over all day, not well though, if you try to rev it up it cuts out. Oh and there is loads of white smoke when its running which apparently means its massively over fuelling!! For this reason they've tried 3 different sets of injectors before finally bringing it to me because we've got that fancy Ford computer!!
