Isuzu Trooper 3.0d 2000 - Non start #

Year of Manufacture *: 2000
Engine Size and Code *: 3.0 diesel

hi
Unfortunatelly I have car like this in the garage -very difficult to start.I can see the turbo filled up by oil - but this is no the reason of non start.I don't know this systemn at all. Maybe someone would have some info how it works?Fuel system side.Many thanks

There is some info in the archives but you will have to type in isuzu trooper

( not isuzu troper )
Looks like a dream motor to work on

hi piotr we had a fight with one of these about 2 yrs ago found plenty of info on the net but came down to oil and filter if i recall .terry

Hi Piotr, Yes it is the Catapillar Engine. 2 main causes are oil strainer for the injector oil rail snap.Make sure oil is on max, add 2 litres of oil then try to start it.If does you need to change strainer.There was a recall for this and car might have missed notification. I you call International Motors(I.M.) ask for
Customer car with Chassis No they can check all
outstanding recalls 0121 747 4000.
Second known issue is failed ORPS (oil rail pressure sensor).look at the harness coming out of the rocker cover.Engine side of multi plug wiring are all Pink.Other die of multi plug are all different colours.In the centre is a white wire,although with age they go yellowish.Cut the wire and then crank(they need 5 seconds of cranking to start.If it starts it need a new sensor.Ii is in the oil rail inside the rocker cover.You need a scanner that will allow you to
programme new sensor.(Tech II with ISUZU card will do it)

phils post is spot on ,however i have sussesfully put a couple of frps on without programming,will need a scan tool to check frps actual against required,also need to cut a spanner to fit sensor without removing fuel rail complete hth ,keith.
