Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 2005 Code P132B Turbocharger boost control position sensor - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2005
Engine Size and Code *: 2.0
( Optional) Fault Codes: P132B Turbocharger boost control position sensor

Hi folks,

Does anyone know if the boost control actuator is coded on this vehicl? Can hi and low are present so my guess is that it is.

Hmmmmm, that's the problem with noded components you can't scope the sensors to confirm your diagnosis you have to rely on live data, so I better double check

.

We disconnected the actuating rod to the turbo and found the linkage on the turbo to be very stiff in one direction. We gave the owner the option of trying a clean on the vanes and this cured the problem (carbon deposits). He's had the car back a couple of weeks and no problems have re-occured.

Just interested, what method did you use for cleaning the turbo vanes and did you take it of off the car?

Yes we removed from the car and stripped the vane section. We cleaned it with small rotary wire brushes.
