Posted by Matt Booth Reason I ask is that I had a car the other day that had a recon turbo fitted and the variable vane rod had not been set correctly. As a consequence when giving WOT from low down the vacuum was dumped but the vanes didn't move to the extent they should. This meant the car had no power low down but was fine from about 3k upwards as this is when the vane angle starts to decrease.
