Hi Guys. I am in need of some information asap please. The above mentioned Megane came in for a service today. When starting the engine to fill the oil filter it cut out after a few seconds and an injector fault warning came up on the display. I tried to start if again and it cut out again and now it will not turn over on the button at all. The display now reads battery low even after replacing it with a new battery (fully charged). The orange spanner light and battery lights stay on with the ignition on.I cannot communicate with the instrument cluster or the engine ecu with either the modis or clip.Clip informs me that there is a network fault. I have checked the two 12v power feeds to the ecu and the one is ok but the other only reads 4v. When i apply 12v via my power probe the cluster lights up and the engine will crank for a short while off the button. I need to find the engine relay that supplies this power but i cannot find the information anywhere. I have Autodata cd3, Vivid and Tolerance.I am desperate to fix this car as i have had to let the owner use my own car until it,s repaired. Sorry for the long post but i thought it best to give as much info as possible. Thanks, Allan
Hi Allan You could try to disconnect battery for 30 secs, also check you did not break wire at clutch pedal by accident, try go into body computer check faults and clear.I think this is located in behind lefthand rear wingmoulding. Were you try to bleed out fuel filter when this happen?
Hi Conleth I have disconnected the battery and left a jumper lead connected to the cables to drain all the capasitors. The fuel filter was pre-filled with fuel before fitting. The battery is off the vehicle now being charged overnight before i tackle it at stupid o'clock in the morning! I am sure the fault lies with the low voltage to the supply to ecu. The wiring diagram shows the same relay powers other things also (i don't remember which at the moment) but in the morning i will find out and test those as well. I have just subscribed to the Renault technical information website so i will try that tomorrow. Thanks for your reply. Allan
Thanks for the replies. I have now diagnosed that the UCH is faulty and i have bought a new one from Renault. However i am having problems programming the key-cards to it. I have carried out the configuration but when it comes to the keys the message on screen gives me an immobilizer code and tells me to input it in the space below, however the code is 16 or 17 digits long and it Will only allow me it input 9 digits. Does anyone know how to do this with clip? I also have launch if thats better but i have not tried that yet.My tel. number is 01213282229 Thanks Allan
