Breakdown. IE I have only scanned this at the roadside breakdown site. I am planing to do further investigations next week one the vehicle is recovererd to a more appropriate location.

Rough running (For some time apparantly, but it is a bit like "House" Everybody lies!)

When I saw it we had a non-start condition.

Codes are as follows;

17664 (P1256) (CTS Intermittent)

17762 (P1354) modulating piston movement sensor-intermittent electrical malfunction

17970 (P1562) Quantity adjuster upper limit rerached

17971 (P1563) As above, lower limit reached

18062 (P1654) check DTC instrument cluster

17969 (P1561) Quantity adjuster controll deviation.


With faults clearerd engine made some attempt at firing but without actually running and code 17969 returned.

I am thinking that this is likly to indicate a fuel pump issue and am inclined to go down that route after having checked silly stuff like ensureing that the timing belt marks line up properly first.

However I would be interested on anybody elses comments.
