    Hi all
This vehicle came in today with the mil lamp on and the stored code was P0089 Fuel pressure reg. 1 performance. The symptoms are similar to a bad maf (lack of power)i have checked the pump pressure via eobd and at idle it is 52330 KPa and 70100 KPa at full throttle (approx 4000 rpm with mil on). After clearing the fault code full power resumed for a while and the pressure increased to 12000 KPa.I do not believe a fuel pump would suddenly fix itself after clearing the codes so i have trawled the net to get some info. The main suspect seems to be the suction control valve located on the high pressure fuel pump. Does anyone have any information about this as autodata has zilch? (suprise).Idealy testing methods, wiring diagram and any coding info if required after replacement. Also does anyone know if this vehicle has an electric low pressure pump as i have found a fuse for it but removing it with the engine running has no effect at all.
    Thanks in advance
    Allan
