Hello all. We have in this Almera tino for engine check light on and erattic running,Prior to us checking the car another garage has changed the crank sensor twice. We have read the error codes: P0335 Crank position sensor. P1337 P2-TDC pulse signal. P1690 pump control module. Initially upon clearing down faults crank sensor error flagged straight away,Also the tachometer mistriggers,Engine will run erattic, sometimes rpm will climb to 1500/2000rpm and then drop followed by engine cut. The crank sensor is genuine and has been removed for inspection and including the flywheel targets which appear to be ok.The electrical connector is also sound. We decided to monitor the signal integrity next,But guess what!now running faultless,Have rigged up extension leads so as to view scope on passengers seat on the way home tonight. Customer has informed us that the vehicle can run erattic for hours then recover and be ok for 2/3 days, have done wiggle test on wiring with no change in engine note.Has anybody seen this particular fault on this vehicle. Regards Trevor.
