    Hi,

I maybe posted a little early with this one but it may help someone.

When I fitted the Delphi test gauge to the nearside injector rail there was some air escaped, on cranking it showed 80bar (8000kPa) and fired, so removed gauge re-connected pipe and cranked briefly and bled more air from the front injector I did this about 5 times until no more air then it fired up no problem.

The customer had kept going as long as he on the Motorway then when stopped cranked it until the battery went flat so HP pump and rails would have been bone dry, some might say obvious but I would have thought once low pressure pump supply was ok HP pump would have purged the rails and I am also suprised the Siemens system didn`t log a fault code for `Rail pressure deviation` or similar

    Another lesson learnt

    Rob
