As Aidan has said, my definitions also relate to additional coolant heating rather than glow plugs, I dont think these modern diesels actually need glowplugs to start unless its minus 30 degrees , my MOT garage has just had a Ford C-max in for an engine change due to it being damaged by flood water,I think this may be the same engine, the glowplugs were underneath the inlet manifold tight against the bulkhead and looked a bugger to change !
