Hi Paul. The main fault with these is usually the EGR valve. However, (I have just done a recent one which kept throwing a code for AMM and it turned out to be a split intercooler)! Ours was split on the radiator side, so we only found it buy using smoke. Coincidently, when this was running with the split intercooler, the Intake shut-off valve was moving causing an unstable idle speed as well! This was also causing the Turbo Actuator to move slightly as well, as these units all share the same Vaccumn source! HTH Paul, Gunner.
