It's currently non start with the only code 18072 [P1664] PD Injector Control circuit Malfunction Permanent.
It was running rough and picking up individual injector codes prior so we have renewed the Main injector harness within the rocker cover which sorted it but now 50 miles later we have non start and this trouble code?
It actually briefly started ran rough,cut out,re started and as we touched around the engine loom by the injector harness twist plug block on the cylinder head re cut out, so we have renewed this connector to be safe and checked surrounding cables which look fine.Still no start.
It's as if the whole system has just shut down, the code clears but returns on cranking, good battery volts and rpm signal 200rpm cranking.
Have checked loom and connections,fuses,
Not sure if the power relay 109 could cause this?
Could do with some basic specs/tips on this PD injection system ie what voltage should I see at the injectors/loom, my next thoughts are pin out at the Engine ECU, hoping the autovista data will be good enough?
I am a ware the starting issues these used to face with fuel/heads/cams etc, this one has done 40k with all the above good.
