Afternoon I am struggling with this one and would appreciate if someone could give me the way forward to confirm the cause!
The glow plug light comes on and then lacks power the only fault code is P256300 turbo actuator position sensor signal improbable, we checked the diaphragm straight off was ok and sent the customer on his way, after 40min of driving the fault returns very intermittently
I have since scoped the signal at the ecu (0.6v-3.5v), checked power and grounds, good 30in vacuum to the solenoid and that also seems to have good control on the actuator, the actuator moves freely we did try a bottle of Revive that also didn't help,we cant get the fault to occur unless we pull the vac pipe off the actuator and the light ping's on straight away. What would you suggest to try next ? Private owner 20,000 miles from new
