Could do with some opinions on this one, still on going.

A making no progress referred this to local Merc dealer who have now had it for a week with no firm diagnosis, story goes like this

a)First tech to look at it replicated fault but had no ideas !
b) 'more experienced' tech had some time on it including low & high pressure fuel checks and identified a injector with leak off issue (believable at mileage) and was 'hopeful' it would fix it, sadly fault still evident, so £1K and no fix !
c) They have now they are 'suggesting' that torque converter lock up clutch fault is the cause, another £2k with not guarantee of fix.
At may request they have checked Engine software is up to date (they had already checked gearbox as update was listed for clutch lock up fualt code)

I spoke to local Auto gearbox specialist before referring this and they where confident that on this box this fault would not cause symptoms.

So guys any suggestions please as to which way to go.
