I originally had the exhaust down as restricted as one of my first tests was to disconnect the egr inlet pipe as this was easy and the vehicle ran so i thought the cat was blocked as the pressure readings for the DPF were very low .
the turbo is a variable geometry type , and if you remove the vac pipe from the control actuator the vehicle will run and you can rev the engine no problem.
connect it back up and the engine coughs and then stalls .
it seems like there is a restriction in the turbo .
The impellers on both sides of the turbo spin freely and are connected to one another , there is no play in the shaft.
before i condemn the turbo is there any thing i may not have considered
