You mentioned you had oil at the red ecu plug, this will cause misfire etc if left untreated, you need to change the injector harness inside the rocker cover, along with the o ring where it exits the head at the front.
After replacing the harness regular checks need making at the red ecu plug and any oil cleaned away, until the oil stops appearing. If the oil gets into the ecu board it causes all manner of issues.
