It would appear that it has blocked up a bit too quick, so a fault still exists. If you still have the old dpf you could smash it through and refit so you can do an emissions test, that way you can assess the smoke output, these will run pretty clean, even without a dpf.

Also have you done a smoke test on the inlet, you could have a boost leak which would give that MAF error and cause excessive smoke?
