Decided to leave crank sensor until I had a scope. Checked in tank pump in tank as Jon suggested and found not working.new pump fitted and ok.
Possibly the camshaft wiring fault caused pump to fail due to long cranking periods ?
Picoscope arrived yesterday after fixing car.
