That 4mm Allen bolt was designed in Hades, later models were uprated to 5mm I believe (still a poor design).

Back to the original post about running low on fuel, when you get the scope on it hang a current clamp on the in tank supply pump & see what waveform you get & check the speed of the pump.

Cutting out after half an hour with no DTC's logged is a dead ringer for an in tank pump issue and at 180K its long overdue for giving up....
