Check wiring in nsf wheel arch, pull arch liner off.
CAN wires prone for rot here.(red and white twisted pair)
Also check where CAN wires come out of underbonnet fuse/relay box as they can rub through on airfilter housing.
I should have a spare "free running" engine ecu you could borrow.
