Hi, the story goes as follows, customer brings vehicle in with revving high, no mil on, do a scan and find coolant temp sensor fault, logged, order a sensor and fit, check the readings after fitting and getting,

In take air temp 22
coolant temp -22
ambienbt temp 12
coolant temp rad output 15
coolant temp engine output -20
oil temp -8
fuel temp 23

If I disconnect the newly fitted cts the coolant temp reading goes up to 30 and the fans blow at full speed.

check on obd readings to make sure readings are true and got the same coolant temp reading.

cleaned the earth points around battery still the same. Any suggestions or anyone suffered this before ?

One thing to add the wires to the cts have been repaired, from original colors to yellow, check for continuity between repairs and checks out fine.

Update looks like a partially (high resistance) break in the loom, some where at the back of the battery to ecu.
