Had this fault before with a transit the reason for no throttle response is that the ecu isnt seeing 13 volts thought it was a faulty reg in the alternator turn out to be a bad earth at the chassis connection under the drivers seat at the battery replaced the earth strap(some have a bus fuse in the earth strap) and had no further faults with the vehicle hope this helps
