Ford Transit 2.4TDCi JXFA 2008 - No response from throttle, codes P0404 and P2265 - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2008
Engine Size and Code *: 2.4 JXFA
( Optional ) Scanner Used: MODIS
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0404 P2265

Had a look at a transit today with no response from throttle on cold start with battery light and management light staying on this can last for 20-30 seconds if not more until both lights go out and then thottle response is restored, a scan has revealed codes p0404 egr control circuit and p2265 water in fuel sensor circuit i have asked for the van to come back in so i can investigate the codes and possibly replace the egr if needed , i have noticed battery voltage is hanging around 12v until lights go out and throttle becomes 'active' we then see 13/14 volts has anyone seen charging issues causing no response from throttle or have suggestions on this iv had this read on ids which gave the same codes also

Had this fault before with a transit the reason for no throttle response is that the ecu isnt seeing 13 volts thought it was a faulty reg in the alternator turn out to be a bad earth at the chassis connection under the drivers seat at the battery replaced the earth strap(some have a bus fuse in the earth strap) and had no further faults with the vehicle hope this helps

Not sure about the throttle response problems but pretty sure there's a software update for the fault codes you listed.

Had exact same problem last week and turned out to be the battery terminals loose (has 2 batteries under seat)on one of the batteries ,hew heavy duty brass clamps fitted ,job done !

Thanks for the help guys the van had a software update and a new egr valve to resolve the trouble codes , Being concerned about cost the customer is going to bring the van back in if the throttle response problem occurs again
