From my very limited experience, i.e.the one I did the plugs came out easily.
If you have multiple glow plug faults, suspect a control unit fault. (Hidden away on side of engine and accessed from underneath)
Also bear in mind when testing these they are low voltage plugs so don't use 12 volt power probe.
