just to add to last post, When removed I noted The EGR valve has a restricter plate insert in the port (from the egr cooler) this has hole from memory from approx 10 mm diameter. Although I noted this had no reason to think it was not OE.

However bit of googling has resulted in a few suggested modifications to reduce EGR which center around fitting a plate and drilling a hole to restrict flow.

The question is, does anyone know if these have such a restriction as standard ?

This is a recent purchase so I have no long term history, however there is evidence that the egr cooler had been off previously (but not recently)

Any thoughts ?
