I have checked for air ingress. There is no air getting into the fuel lines. I sealed the low pressure side and applied vacum to make sure the system had no leaks. The vacum did decay but over several minutes.I also tried smoking the fuel lines.
I tried a seperate fuel source and rechecked fuel pressure. It was still the same at -90 mbar cold dropping to -62 mbar warm. The pressure goes to -500 mbar when the pipe is clamped. The official Peugeot spec is -100 mbar to -300 mbar while running.
I test drove the car from cold while recording live data. I could see the longer I drove the IMV valve had to work harder (increased duty cycle) to maintain pressure. When accelerating hard you can see the IMV duty cycle going up while the pressure starts to drop.
To be honest I have run out of ideas at this stage. I think it is a faulty high pressure pump but I am unwilling to condemn it without proof.
Thanks.
