Thanks Guys for the replies, few areas to consider.

Regulator valve did cross my mind, but this is cutting out while driving rather than at idle / dropping back to idle which is more of the fault I would expect. However I have fitted a new valve to eliminate (I have saved the old one to refit if fault persists)

Sean, good point re ignition switch, I have had these give random none start myself.

Terry Debris in fuel tank is also worth considering. In the good old days this would be high on the list, but it is easy to overlook the basics in this high tech world.

Does tank blockage trigger the blocked filter indicator ? or does that just measure pressure drop across the filter ?
