I would love to know what the scaling factor is for the fuel rail pressure sensor so I know what the pressure actually is! I would like a common rail pressure tester but at around 500 quid it's not going to be anytime soon! What voltage do you expect to seeon the sensor?
Thermostat is at the back of the block, offside and close to the bulkhead according to customer.
I intend to scope cam and crank etc. I need to check for disturbed connections and wiring in the area of the thermostat also.
Difficult to decide on a direction with this one, my gut feeling says sort the comms first and I may well find what's stopping it running, if I don't at least I can see what's really going on.
I can't specifically remember checking correlation between ECU live data voltage and actual voltage, but it is something I normally do.
All testing was done with life support on which is a 0-50A industrial stabilised power supply set at 14.0V.
Looking at the ECU I expect it is an EDC15 or similar.
Shaun.
