It is almost like it is becoming acceptable to roll the diagnostic dice & hope for the best!
What on earth happened to an informed diagnostic approach, based on test results & a good understanding of the patient?
OK we can't hope to have a full understanding of every car that comes through the doors, but it is the repairers responsibility to ensure that he/she approaches the task of repairing it responsibly & fairly.
This "Fred in a Shed" style of repair only does harm to the trade & is not fair on the customer!
I would not be able to sleep at night
