This chap works in unit across from us and came across other day to discuss recent events of mil and dpf warning lights coming. Any way because we are only at the beginning of learning curve with these issues decided to read dtcs and record as in title,he does quite a lot of small trips but was going on motorway next day,so had recently got in some forte dpf regenerate fluid so said we would erase codes add forte and told him to proceed and keep revs up.
All seemed well and he said at time there had been no drop of in performance when warning lights had come on.any way dpf light comes and goes with no set pattern and mil similar but this is usually off during journey but is on again at startup.
Up to now besides adding forte and rechecking codes dpf differential pressure circuit we have carried out visual inspection of wiring to sensors and pipes(there appear to be 3 and 1 lambda) is this correct and what are there functions.
We tried finding info for pressure sensors with autodiagnos but dont know group and channel numbers (always seem have this problem with vag vehicles)suggested to boss to purchase VCDS VAG COM inthe hope in future when working onthis range would be a sensible purchase.
Would appreciate any help about this as access to components looks pretty nasty, have looked in history forums no direct comparisons.
Sorry for long post GEOFF TAYLOR.
