managed to get local mobile auto elec with bosch kts 570,this was able to read out the relavant pressures and temps of various sensors. anyway as some people had suggested the DPF pressure sensor was displaying -205bar KOEO instead of zero,to prove not blockage in pipe giving faulse reading removed rubber pipes to sensor still -205bar then removed elec connector from sensor then read again was now reading 0 and generated a fualt code thus proving circuit ok.so have ordered new sensor will fit on arrival.
we also read the particulate filter ash content this was 30g so assume when new sensor fitted the vehicle will be able to regenerate normally, just a query about this figure as compared to the usual percentage method of soot loading which seems the better method because for example 50% is half full whereas the 30g or whatever reading you get assumes you know how much the capacitys would then be required to start the relavant regen phase. is there a formula or just knowledge of each manufacturers spec. would help us all if a standard measurement was used by all, your input on this would be good.
geoff.
