Surely this test only works if the IMV is actually mechanically functioning as it should.

If its stuck open or closed depending on how the system functinns then i don't see how it will generate fuel pressrue as this is what i thought the purpose of it was and the idea behind the false actuator kit.

I think it was on some Ford systems by unplugging the imv it reverted to full pressure so then i suppose scoping the FRP would work to test HP pump.
