This car has come to me via another garage, will usually run nicely, pulls well etc, but when idling, such as waiting at lights etc, starts to hunt.
The throttle flap/strangle is closing and opening quite quickly.
I code read and checked for vac leaks, but none present.
At the time of the fault if I unplug the control valve it idles perfectly.
I want to change the solenoid valve, but I am reluctant before I can determine if the throttle position sensor is at fault, causing it to 'correct' itself by using the flap.
Does anyone know if the position sensors, or for that matter the solenoid valves are a problem?
Any input greatly appreciated.
Liam.
