We have done a few of these chris as stated you can do in situ with timing tools (about £90) but if you havent done one before i would strongly advise taking the timing cover off and doing chain replacement at the same time and makes job much easier to do for the little extra time it takes to remove the cover etc. even if you dont replace the chain you can know its not worn and is timed up correctly when refitted.
