Customer just recevied recall notice from VW. Checks and repairs to be FOC. Allegedly carbon deposits are the problem.

Anyone know how they check this?

This car is well out of warranty at 120k and five years, guy has owned it from new, we have serviced it all but first time. No probs with injectors so far.
Makes me wonder if this is a ploy to get it in dealer workshop.

Quite a few other customers have paid me to replace faulty injectors on younger cars. VW could spark a massive number of claims here.
