It would also be worth checking the cam and valves incase something has siezed there first causing the belt to jump. In theory if one valve has hit due to incorrect valve timing (ie inlet valve), all the other inlet valves should have done the same. I have done quite a few 1.9 pd's where the cam has worn through the top of the hydraulic tappet.
