fault code DF312 is not the cause of the fault ,just the result of the fault.
Basically DF312 is telling you the regeneration process as started whilst driving ,but failed to complete successfully. If the process fails after 7 attempts and the soot loading is above 21 grams it will flag DTC 312.
You will never get DF312 DTC on its own, it will only be in conjunction with other faults.
But it will only clear if forced regeneration is completed successfully.
If you look at the statues and parameters you will see the failed regeneration attempts.
Hence the fault "speed request". It is telling you that vehicle is not being driven at the correct speed to complete a regeneration process.
Make sure the engine is operating correct and efficiently , but it may well be down to unfavorably driving style by the customer.
