Hi Stuart. Might be stating the obvious here but if the pipes have been off the fuel may have run back to tank. Same symptom as changing fuel filter without plugging pipes.Have you tried pumping fuel up manually?. I usually put a hand primer in line and pump away while someone turns the engine over. Not trying to tell your granny how to suck eggs
