Year of Manufacture *: 2006
Engine Size and Code *: 2.5 dci
( Optional ) Scanner Used: Clip / Autodiagnos
( Optional) Fault Codes: P1808 Coherence between cam sensor / engine speed
Have been asked to look at an Intermittent starting Renault Master for a Friends Garage
Fault codes that keeps coming up is P1808 Coherence between cam sensor / engine speed
After continual clearing and trying to start it sometimes will and then will keep starting for most the day
Garage so far to try and fix this has checked the gear timing to pump and changed the Cam belt, Cam sensor, Crank sensor and now has asked for help
Have scoped the crank and cam sensors below
The first thing that is apparent to me is the low amplitude of the crank signal (the crank sensor voltage offset is probably due to the fact I used the chassis ground and not the crank sensor ground / something I will try on next visit)
The second thing that is apparent is the consistent noise in both signals that look like injection related
Would be good if someone has a good waveform to compare the Valve Timing so this can be confirmed OK
Unfortunately for the duration of my visit with the scoped hooked up the vehicle would not fault but still intermittent flagging P1808 whilst still starting and just once I see the code P1886 Injector control Condenser voltage ?
After reviewing the Signals I think my next step when re visiting is to check the ECU for good lives and grounds
Then maybe opening up the wiring loom where the injector and cam / crank wires are
Thanks in Advance for any help or previous experience you may have with these that could be related
