Year of Manufacture *: 2006
Engine Size and Code *: 3.0 M57TOP
( Optional ) Scanner Used: BMW GT1
Have the above car in with a severe lack of power (wont go pas 70mph. Have done a scan and general inspection, replaced some vacuum hoses etc but the diagnostics seem to indicate that the DPF is clogged (registers as a fault code). I have run some dynamic tests and have the following data:
Exhaust backpressure test:
@Idle speed - actual pressure = 201.9mBar
expected pressure = 65mBar
@2000rpm - actual pressure = 610.9mBar
expected pressure = 150mBar
I've checked all the turbo actuators/wastegates etc with the automated test sequence and they seem to be working fine. The exhaust backpressure sensor also passed its dynamic test sequence.
I have done a regeneration (30 mins+ at 85mph cruise) but still no improvement.
As these DPF's are pull-your-pants-down expensive, has anybody any experience of being able to manually clean them or know any companies that perform this process?
