Awful job to get right, however last time i did one was as follows. Make sure pedal is not depressed. Insert switch into slot ensuring correct alignment. Turn slightly clockwise. Connect electrical block. Brake lights will be on. Apply a little more clockwise pressure until click is felt. Brake lights go off and switch should operate correctly maybe we both do it wrong as I just found this also as far as I'm aware switch has 2 circuits 1 for ecu and 1 for brake lights I maybe wrong but this seems to be a fairly common problem regards carl
