?hi lads, been back to car today ,Darren, scanner i am using is a launch x431,cant do a global scan but checked for codes in generic module, inst. cluster and pcm.no faults recorded.were both the cars you had with no engine/glow lights both tdci,s?you asked if i could activate engine man.light,no but if i disconnect pcm both eml and glow lights come on.did you find someone to test tdci ecu or did you buy new one?Brad you asked about valve timing not checked yet,can you remember if engine management/glowplug lights worked on yours when belt timing out[ford technical say vehicle has smart start so if it knows it cant start ie through cam/crank synchronisation perhaps that could be reason lights not on].?Tony checked all feeds and earths, cant fault them though any more thoughts greatly appreciated, customer having a mardy fit just to help, they think its a walk in the park, they want to be on the end of a scope lead with ford wanting 843.00 plus vat for ecu, just to find out if my diagnosis is correct.anybody know of any easier ways of earning a living?thanks lads, Dave.
